Case Preparation/Investigation/Administrative Hearing Issues Roundtable

 
 

The Department of Pesticide Regulation has asked Mr. Jerry Benincasa to hold a Case Preparation/Investigation/Administrative Hearing Issues Roundtable in each regional area group. Please forward any issues that you may have to your Senior Pesticide Use Specialist by October 26, 2001. Some issues already mentioned are: Defining class definitions in California Code of Regulations, section 6130; credibility of digital photographs; evidence to support "labeling registered which is delivered with the pesticide" as mentioned in Food and Agricultural Code, section 12973 and applying multiple violations to a single episode (i.e. drift).

As a regional area group, please have a contact person indicate to your Regional Office Supervisor what location(s) and date(s) between November 1, 2001 and February 28, 2002, would be convenient. Based upon some initial discussion at the last Pesticide Regulatory Affairs Committee meeting, we would like to hold the attendance to 25-30 people per session. Those individuals with moderate to advanced experience and knowledge would probably benefit the most from these sessions.
