Since early childhood,
I thought my calling was to be a medical doctor
or perhaps Dr. Doolittle. I enjoyed helping other
people and had a real fascination with creatures
and the environment. As a result, I knew that
one day I would have to possess a job that enabled
me to make a difference in people's lives or in
the environment. After exploring many career options,
from working in a hospital to performing research
in marine biology, I finally came across a job
opportunity that encompassed both of my interests
with people and the environment. As a PISP scientist
with DPR, I get to examine how pesticides affect
people and in turn, play a part in the way they
are regulated and evaluated to make our world
a safer place.
