Sacramento, CA - On Tuesday June 17, some of the California's most innovative farming operations will join scientific experts and creative biopesticide firms for a one-day seminar, sponsored by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) to discuss the health of California’s soil.

DPR has assembled a panel of experts to lead discussions and workshops to obtain a better understanding of soil ecology that could transform California’s agriculture. It could result in increased production and may lead to advances in reduced risk pesticide practices, as well as improve air and water quality.

When: Tuesday, June 17, 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Where: UC Davis, Buehler Alumni Center, Buehler Lane, Davis CA 95616

Brian Leahy, DPR Director, will give the opening remarks along with California Environmental Protection Agency Secretary Matthew Rodriquez and California Department of Food and Agriculture Secretary Karen Ross.

Co-sponsored by the University of California-Davis, California Department of Food and Agriculture and USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service.
