Overview of Pesticide Use
To provide an overview of pesticide use, the use of pesticides has been summarized in eight different categories
from 1991 to 1998 (Tables 3-10 and Figures 1-8). These categories classify pesticides according to toxic characteristics,
such as reproductive toxins, carcinogens, or reduced-risk characteristics. These tables and figures are included
in the 1998 Pesticide Use Summary Report.
Trends in Use in Certain Pesticide Categories:
- Currently registered active ingredients listed on the State's Proposition 65 list of chemicals "known
to cause reproductive toxicity."
