Back to Reevaluation Program

On February 19, 2003, DPR placed all agricultural use diazinon products labeled as dormant sprays into reevaluation. This reevaluation is based on monitoring studies conducted between 1991 and 2001 by the U.S. Geological Survey, Dow AgroSciences, Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, State Water Resources Control Board, and DPR. These studies reported the presence of diazinon in surface waters of the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys at levels that exceed water quality criteria (WQC).
