SUBJECT:  RECOMMENDED PERMIT CONDITIONS FOR USING 1,3-DICHLOROPROPENE 
          PESTICIDES (FUMIGANT)


This document replaces Enforcement Letter ENF 01-40.

The attached recommended permit conditions provide guidance on 
applying 1,3-Dichloropropene (1,3-D) throughout California.  New 
information includes clarification on the use of buffer zones, adding 
an application factor when applying 1,3-D outside the San Joaquin Air 
Basin, and following guidelines of the California Management Plan:  
1,3-Dichloropropene.
