SPM Tips for Continuing Education Sponsors

Sustainable Pest Management (SPM) is key to advancing California’s vision for safe and effective alternatives to high-risk pesticides.

Continuing education (CE) approved by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) are an effective way for licensed applicators and pest control advisers to stay up to date on the latest SPM tools, approaches, trends, and practices while also meeting the requirements for maintaining professional licensure in California.

The new Tips for Getting Your SPM Course Approved for the First Time document provides CE sponsors with additional clarification and specific strategies for submitting a CE course application.  These tips are intended to support sponsors during the course application process, streamline the review and approval of educational opportunities by DPR, and, ultimately, facilitate the advancement of SPM in California.
