Training Materials Available on the Resource Hub for Local Engagement

Local engagement training materials for community members and County Agricultural Commissioner (CAC) staff are now available on the Department of Pesticide Regulation’s (DPR’s) Resource Hub for Local Engagement, under the “Training Resources for Local Engagement” section. 

The CAC-Community Engagement Work Group, a collaborative group of CAC representatives and community leaders, began meeting in 2022 to support CACs and local communities to have conversations, listen, and collaborate to develop and compile tools and resources to support local engagement. The Work Group recently developed training materials to support meaningful engagement at the local level. These materials include a 30-minute video, participant workbook, and facilitator guide for each training. 

Training materials for community members are available in Spanish, English, Punjabi, Hmong, Mixteco, Triqui, and Zapoteco. Training materials for CAC staff are available in English.
