Structural Regulatory Training – Basic Level, Irvine
The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) and the Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB) are providing basic level Structural Regulatory Training (SRT) in Southern California, October 6-8, 2026. This Basic SRT is for CAC pesticide program staff who conduct structural pest control inspections or investigations. Counties have received an email from DPR listing their pre-approved attendees. Space is limited to 85 attendees. If there are additional attendees you would like to send to the training, please reach out to Beth Boss at ENFTraining@cdpr.ca.gov by September 20, 2026, for availability. Any registrations received for attendees who are not pre-approved will be placed on a waitlist and added to the training as space permits. Any substitutions to approved county attendees must be submitted to Beth Boss at ENFTraining@cdpr.ca.gov no later than a week prior to the session.
Training Dates, Times, and Locations:
Training is from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Classroom registration (sign-in) will be from 8:00 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. each day.

Training and Session Registration Information:
Each approved attendee must register online by September 21, 2026, using the following link(external link). Completing this registration does not constitute approval to attend, county staff not approved to attend will be added to the waiting list.
Hotel Reservation:
DPR will not reimburse for lodging or arrange hotel reservations for attendees. The hotel room rate is $169/night plus applicable fees and taxes at the Hotel Zessa. Overnight parking is $20.00 per vehicle, per night. Commuter parking validation will be provided. Hotel room reservation deadline is September 14, 2026. Reservations for the hotel can be made here.
No Reimbursement:
DPR will not reimburse for lodging, meals, overnight parking, tolls, mileage, etc. However, counties not able to send staff to the training due to financial hardship are encouraged to contact Beth Boss at ENFTraining@cdpr.ca.gov or at 916-603-7747.

We encourage all attendees to bring your county CalPEATS tablets to this training. If you do not have a tablet, the printed copies of the inspection forms will be provided.
