New Resources Available: Learn More About DPR’s Work

The California Department of Pesticide Regulation has updated several resources to share how we protect people and the environment, advance sustainable pest management, evaluate pesticide safety, monitor potential risks, and enforce pesticide laws throughout California.

A new “What We Do at DPR” fact sheet offers an overview of the department’s core responsibilities including how DPR evaluates pesticides before they can be used, monitors and mitigates pesticide-related risks, enforces pesticide laws statewide, and supports education and outreach efforts for farmworkers and communities.

DPR also released a new booklet highlighting its key accomplishments from 2024 to 2026. The booklet shows significant progress in advancing DPR’s mission and vision, including strengthened scientific review capacity, modernization of pesticide registration systems, expanded sustainable pest management efforts, increased enforcement and oversight activities, greater community engagement, and new tools that improve transparency and public access to pesticide information.

Both resources are available in English and Spanish on DPR’s website.
