Training Course – Investigative Training
The Department of Pesticide Regulation’s (DPR) Enforcement Branch and Worker Health & Safety Branch will be providing a joint one-day intermediate level Investigative Training course. This training is geared for County Agricultural Commissioner (CAC) inspectors who:
- Understand the investigative roles of CACs and DPR,
- Perform or have been involved in investigation(s),
- Understand the basic principles of an investigation,
- Understand basic investigation procedures/techniques.
Locations and Dates:
Training sessions are from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (check-in begins at 8:00 a.m.)
Topics include:
- Jurisdiction/ Authority
- Types of Investigations
- The Investigator’s Mindset
- The Investigative Plan
- The Value of Evidence
- “Putting it all Together”
Please register via email at least 2 weeks prior to the training date to ensure sufficient supplies and seating. If possible, send one training nomination form (per county), include staff names and preferred location to Ms. Monica DeAnda, Enforcement Branch, at Monica.DeAnda@cdpr.ca.gov. Within one week of receipt, we will confirm your registration. Bring a copy of the Pesticide Use Enforcement Program Standards Compendium, Volume number 5, Investigation Procedures.
