The Pesticide Registration Branch
relies heavily on its automated tracking system to tie
business processes together, from mail receipt to document
intake to product licensing. The tracking system provides
current information on the status of approximately 3000
ongoing submissions and data packages. These packages
consist of new product applications, product amendments
and other mandated data supplied by pesticide registrants.
The Registration Branch receives approximately 200 inquiries
per day regarding the status of individual submissions
from registrants and other external stakeholders. We
anticipate that the development of sending tracking
information directly to registrants will reduce the
number of information requests by 50%-75%.
The tracking system has been in place
since 1986 and has processed approximately 125,000 registration
submissions.
