SUBJECT:

AMENDED 2000/01 PESTICIDE REGULATORY ACTIVITIES SUMMARY

Attached is an amended 2000/01 Pesticide Regulatory Activities Summary (Report 5). The report that was enclosed with Enforcement Letter 02-14 contained incorrect data for Fresno and Kings counties due to problems with the database that is used to track these activities. Unfortunately, this incorrect data was used to calculate each county's portion of the mill assessment disbursement. This resulted in most counties receiving slightly less than what they should have received through this fiscal year's mill assessment disbursement, with Kings and Fresno being impacted the most. Our Report 5 application has been corrected to prevent errors of this nature in the future.

After discussing this issue with California Agricultural Commissioners and Sealers Association's representatives, it was decided to make the adjustment to each county's disbursement at the normal time next April. This was because even prompt corrective action would carry-over into the next fiscal year (2002/03) budget.
