STRUCTURAL PEST CONTROL SYMPOSIUM

The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) has opted to hold a structural pest control symposium this year, rather than training, in order to provide county agricultural commissioner program managers and deputy commissioners an opportunity for networking and discussing advanced issues and administrative items pertaining to structural pest control enforcement. This symposium is a cooperative effort of DPR's Enforcement Branch, the Structural Pest Control Board, and the California Agricultural Commissioners and Sealers Association (CACASA).

The site and dates for the symposium are as follows:

Sacramento County

Lions Gate Hotel
3410 Westover Street
Sacramento, California 95652

March 24, 2004 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Enclosed is an overview of the topics we will address in the symposium. We hope it will assist you in determining who in your staff will benefit most from the training.

We have reserved 100 rooms at the rate of $84.00 per room per day, if reservations are made by March 5, 2004. Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservation. To get the discounted rate, please tell the hotel clerk that you will be attending the "County Structural Symposium."

Travel and per diem expenses will be reimbursed by DPR according to the guidelines outlined in the enclosed Enforcement Letter ENF 00-037 (please note that DPR's current address is at the bottom of the previous page). Further instructions will be discussed at the symposium pertaining to who you should mail the claim to. In order to facilitate the planning process, please contact the DPR Enforcement Branch liaison serving your county with the names of your attendees by March 1, 2004.
