ALTERNATIVE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES UNDER THE GROUND WATER REGULATIONS FOR BAND TREATMENTS IN CITRUS

 
 

This letter explains an alternative management practice approved pursuant to the new ground water regulations. The alternative practice is for citrus growers in runoff ground water protection areas. Specifically, the alternative practice applies to band applications of pesticides listed in Title 3, California Code of Regulations section 6487.4. In addition, alternative management practices have been approved regarding the disturbance of soil before an application and incorporation of pesticides after an application.
