IRRIGATION EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROGRAM FOR LEACHING GROUND WATER PROTECTION AREAS

 
 

The Department of Pesticide Regulation has contracted with UC Davis Extension Irrigation Specialists to present irrigation management training sessions for County Agricultural Commissioner staff to be held at six statewide locations. The training sessions will help attendees determine whether a permit applicant is likely to be an efficient irrigator, if the efficient irrigation management practice (Title 3, California Code Regulations section 6487.5(c)) is selected in leaching Ground Water Protection Areas. An overview of the training is detailed in the enclosed document.

The Department of Pesticide Regulation plans on conducting training sessions for County Agricultural Commissioner staff as follows:
